Shooting At Notorious Elk Grove Bowling Alley

A bowling alley with a notorious reputation from attracting violent customers is back in the news again after two people were shot at the establishment on Saturday night.

The whole thing went down at “Strikes” in Elk Grove, a local hangout that’s become a hot-spot for trouble over the past few years.

From News10.net:

Elk Grove Police responded at 12:45 a.m. for a report of a physical disturbance involving a group of  teenagers and young adults.

While officers were responding additional calls came in reporting a shooting, said Elk Grove Police Officer Chris Trim.

Officers arrived at the scene, but the victims were gone.

Trim said the shooting victims were transported by private vehicles to a local area hospital.

One male suffered a gunshot wound to the ankle, while a female suffered several gunshot wounds.

Trim said the injuries are believed to be non life threatening.

In June of 2011, two men attacked Seth Parker in the parking lot because of his sexual orientation. Parker required facial reconstruction surgery as a result. Two men were arrested for the assault.

Neighbors have complained that the management of the alley do not keep enough security on staff to control the crowds that the center attracts. The following video of a  fight at Strikes shows employees ill-equipped to handle a fight that broke out inside the alley back in 2010.
