The Sacramento Sheriff Department is investigating a triple homicide in Rancho Cordova after a man came home to find his wife and two children brutally murdered.
According to a breaking new telecast on KCRA, the scene was so horrific that a Sheriff’s spokesperson had to excuse himself during a press briefing when he became emotionally overwhelmed.
Preliminary reports state that the woman was in her 20′s and the two deceased children were under the age of seven. The home was described as “gruesome” and the attack “brutal”. The man who made the discovery had to go to a neighbor’s home to call the police because he was so distraught.
Investigators are looking for a missing vehicle that is connected to the home. No suspect description was immediately available.
The home is located on the 10100 block of De Soto Way in Sacramento County.
