Last year, the State Fair food craze that caught the attention of the local media outlets was the Maggot Melt. This summer, one fair food vendor hopes everyone will be talking about his latest invention: The Big Beef Rib. Here the description, as reported in the Sac Biz Journal:
The Big Beef Rib is two pounds of beef attached to a 17-inch beef rib bone, which is then slow smoked for about three hours and then finished over a mesquite fire.
At a price point of $16.95, you might think the Big Beef Rib would be more of a novelty item more than anything else, but its creator, Dominic Palmieri has been selling out of the meaty treat at events all over the country.
