The fallout from the collapse of the arena deal last week is spilling over into a war of the words between all parties involved, hinting that this divorce is going to be messy. Here’s some of the choice highlights as of Monday morning:

“You can’t do a deal with somebody you don’t trust. I don’t trust him.” -Gerorge Maloof, speaking about Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson

“I don’t really have a comment on that. It’s very obvious who can’t be trusted in this scenario.” - Kevin Johnson, when asked about the above comment

“They asserted that the proposed deal was not in the best interest of the City, which coming from the Maloof’s is a little like getting weight loss advice from Fat Albert.” - Chris Lehane Executive Director, Think BIG Sacramento
