Every 50 hours somewhere in the United States a Law Enforcement Officer dies while in the line of duty. The ever-expanding National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington DC memorializes those who have fallen while protecting their communities.
On June 16, 2012, Team Sac PD will compete in the Race Across America. RAAM , “The world’s toughest bicycle race,” is a non-stop, 3,000 mile, cross country bike race starting at the Pacific and ending at the Atlantic Ocean. Eight Officers from Sac PD will be competing in this race representing Sacramento.
Team Sac PD is needs your donation to push forward their efforts in this endeavor. Donations received will benefit the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial while also supporting the ever expanding Memorial for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
If 25,000 people donate just $2 over the next four weeks, Team Sac PD will only have to worry about completing the difficult race and not raising cash. If you would like to donate, there are several different ways to do so, and you can learn about them all by clicking here.
