DUI driver drops off girlfriend; neglects to stop the car first

The Sacramento Police Department is looking for witnesses to an incident that took place early Saturday morning on Northgate Boulevard and San Juan Road in North Sacramento. Investigators say that 25-year-old Brian Galvan was driving home with his girlfriend after a night drinking at a bar. At some point, the 35-year-old female leapt, fell, or was pushed out the moving car, sustaining life-threatening injuries as a result. According to reports, Galvan just kept driving afterwards before later returning to the scene to talk to the cops.

Galvan may have felt as though he had two good reasons not to stick around; his license is suspended for a prior DUI, and he was again operating a car while under the influence of alcohol.

The condition of his girlfriend remains unknown. Galvan bailed out of Jail Saturday afternoon. Anyone with any information about the case is asked to call the Sacramento Police Department.
