18-year-old Sacramento woman eats 150 pounds of plastic

18-year-old Kailyn is from Sacramento, and over the past 11 years has consumed over 150 pounds of plastic. She was recently featured on TLC’s “My Strange Addiction”, and the above video clip tells her story.

To summarize, over the past decade, Kailyn has ingested:

• 12 remote controls
• 5,000 beads
• 1,000 cocktail swords
• 100 forks
• 10 water bottles
• 2 pacifiers
• 3 CD cases
• 50 clothes hangers
• 25 coffee cup lids

On a daily basis, Kailyn eats about 15 pieces of plastic. She says that sometimes, she chooses plastic over food. As a restaurant hostess, she is able to get most the items to feed her cravings from work.
