Kings VS. L.A. Lakers for the shortened season home-opener

The always-polarizing Los Angeles Lakers are coming to town to kick off the start of the Sacramento Kings shortened season, according to a new report in today’s LA Times. The day-after-Christmas Kings home opener will be the second of three back-to-back-to-back games for the Lakers, and it marks the first time a NBA team has played three nights in a row since the last lockout-shortened season back in 1999.

While the complete schedule has not been officially announced, sources within the NBA leaked some details to the Times earlier today.

The Kings will play two pre-season games against the Golden State Warriors; once on December 17th in Oakland and again in Sacramento on December 20th. Team training camps begin this coming Friday for the 66-game season.
